Office IT Skills

This course is part one of a specifically designed training program for staff and volunteers who work in customer service, reception and office administration work and want to improve their work related office administration IT skills.

INTRODUCTION TO IPAD

Have you recently purchased an iPad and want to find out how to get the most out of it? Learn to navigate, organise and customise your iPad, become familiar with apps, download free apps, learn editing, manage folders, set up email and learn about security features, plus more!
Prerequisites: Basic literacy and keyboard skills. Bring your own iPad with Apple id and set-up. For those who are thinking of getting one we have the option to provide one to practice on in class.

BROADBAND FOR SENIORS
BROADBAND FOR SENIORS
The Broadband for Seniors Course delivers Pre-designed on-line lessons to teach students –
* how a computer works
* how to create and format a word document
* how to set up a gmail account, send and receive messages, attach a photograph to a message and create a ‘contacts list’
* how to access the internet, save ‘favourites’ and briefly covers Internet Etiquette
Courses are run at the Middle Park Kiosk (above the Middle Park Library, Cnr Richardson & Nimmo Street) on a weekly one-to-one basis. After completing the basic course all Tutors offer their student a revision class to address specific queries. Students then have the option of covering more specifically designed courses within this programme
Enrolments: Please phone Port Melbourne Neighbourhood Centre on 9645 1476 or email admin@pmnc.org.au stating which days you are available (state am & pm, or just one of those options). Your details will be given to the BFS co-ordinator Jane who will contact you and arrange a start date for your lessons.
This is a Federal Government sponsored programme, therefore there is no cost. All Tutors give their time voluntarily.
